The government appointed Mohammad Abdus Salam Sikder, a former district judge, as the fourth member of the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC). A finance ministry notification signed by senior assistant secretary on banking and finance division informed this to the regulatory body, said SEC executive director Saifur Rahman.
Mohammad Abdus Salam Sikder is expected to join the commission 14 July,2011. The appointed of the fourth member of the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) was made for the first time in the country’s history. The appointed of the fourth member is a part of the SEC restructuring process announced by the government earlier.
