Mohammad Yasin Ali has stepped down as a member of the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC). He submitted his resignation to the banks and financial institution division secretary on 9 May,2011. He resignation came a day after another SEC member Mohammad Anisuzzaman stepping down.
Mohammad Yasin Ali joined the SEC on N0vember, 2008 under contractual appointment for three years. Before joining SEC, he was a executive director of the Bangladesh Bank.
Earlier, Banking and financial institution division of the finance ministry has asked two incumbent members to resign as part of the overhauling process of the securities regulator.
